Higher SelfThe higherself is the part of you that lives outside of time and space it is the part that survives death and the part that knows your true path in life. Imagine the Higher self as a friend that is always right and always has your best interest at heart. Your goal is to make a stronger and stronger connection with this so that you can benefit and spiritually grow from the experience. Begin by following the Universal Meditation then open your eyes and continue with the following techniques. Take two gemstones and crystals, one in each hand, lie down and close your eyes and wait. Now the normal thing that happens is your mind begins to chatter away to you. Try to push your thoughts away and think of nothing. This is likely very difficult, so it can help to imagine a tiny point of light in your mind and just focus on that, as soon as a thought comes, push it away and focus on the point of light. Making Contact Once you feel sufficiently clear of thoughts, verbalise either out-loud or in your mind the phrase "True self please make contact and guide me through this day". Say three times. Now still your mind, clear it of any thoughts, focus on the point of light and see if any pictures or words are painted or whispered in your mind. Whatever happens you can eventually open your eyes. What you may discover As you clear your mind or even during the day you will naturally get messages and voices in your mind. Most people know this as their self and it chatters away analysing, thinking and even arguing with itself. You task is to look at those thoughts and messages to yourself and only act on those and listen to those that are from the Higher Self. To do this you must listen to your mind and think what messages are pure without fear, guilt or full of "Shoulds", "Shouldnts" and "Cannot". To listen to your mind, just close your eyes and focus on the point of light. Higherself messages often have no guilt, fear or other peoples words attached to them. If a message comes, a voice starts in your head, think about what it says and listen. It may be that the real message is hidden behind it. A higherself message will be a gut feeling or clear statement that is not prejudiced or influenced by what other people say or your own past. It takes skill to learn when they have been given, but by following these techniques you will get the messages and then you must act upon them. By following the messages you will be lead to a better and more spiritual life.
