Channelling/Spirit Guide


Begin by finding a comfortable distraction free place to sit and put a gemstone or crystal in front of you. Then just relax for a minute or two, start at your head and imagine a wave of relaxing energy flowing down to the tips of your toes. Then take the gemstone or crystal in one hand and say the words "I am open to channel, to receive messages from those who wish to make contact". Then with eyes closed see a golden light at the base of your spine and visualise this rising upwards to your neck and into your head. Visualise your head covered in a golden glow and then follow either the directed or undirected instructions as below.

Directed Channelling

This is used when you know what type of entity you wish to channel. If you wish to contact your guardian angel then whisper "please make contact Angel guide, give a sign that you are here". Or Change the word "Angel" to "Spirit Guide" or the name of a person who has died in this world. If you want to contact a specific deity say "Please Selene (Or whatever their name is) guide me and let me understand your knowledge". You can make up your contact sentence, anything will be sufficient as long as the intent is there. Always take time to compose the exact words you wish to say and memorize the procedures so that they are second nature and therefore come easily and are not forced.

Undirected Channelling

To contact those beings who have ascended this level of existence  sit down and close your eyes. See a point of energy (small ball of fire) around the bottom of your spine and see an energy line rise from this and slowly creep up your spine and to the base of your neck. When this is sufficiently visualised see this energy explode upwards in a huge plume of golden light that soars from your eighth chakra (head) into the heavens.

You are now connected to the ascended levels. You may feel different or not, it matters little at this point. You are now connected to a dimension where contact can be made with ascended beings.

What Next ?

Sit quietly and listen to your mind. Maybe a clear message or dictation will begin that is obviously not from yourself. Or perhaps a few words or only sounds will appear. If contact is made and a voice comes through, ask it a question, a name, its purpose etc. If nothing happens say in your mind “I am open for contact”. And again wait.

This waiting and the initial few words spoke to you can be very disconcerting, but do not give up. By practicing this technique regularly you will keep opening the ascension chakra so that eventually it will be like a pulsating beacon beckoning ascended beings to communicate with you. When the messages start you should keep the sessions quite small and write down what you learn. It is likely to be information pertaining to your own and the planets spiritual path.

For channelling anything at random, whatever is passing by. Just close your eyes and whisper, "I am open for contact, will any wandering soul please contact me" (Be polite, it may help). This can open you up to contact with a being which may feel attracted to your current mood or state of mind. So DO NOT practice channelling if angry or upset as this may connect you with beings that are not suitable for contact as their emotions would be too strong.

Contact

After following the directed or undirected procedure you then have to wait for contact. Just sit quietly, you may find nothing at all happens, give it ten or fifteen minutes and then stop. You will need to follow the exercises again and again until you receive a message of some kind. Most people find that once the exercise is followed and you wait in silence (quartz crystal in hand) then a chatter can often be heard in your mind. Often this will simply be your own voice either doubting the whole channelling process or simply chattering to you about the past, present or future. You need to listen to these voices and try to discover if it is all you or whether there is something more, voices that are not quite you or not quite what you would normally think. This is where you need to focus your attention, you need to look for the different and unusual and listen to this. That is the starting point and you need to focus here. You may only get words or phrases at first which seem unusual or not a part of your own mind and these can be focused upon throughout the day to see if you can unravel anything. You may be lead to books or authors who can further help you. Some people find that messages come loud and clear and there is no need to sort out there own voice from the being they are channelling.

If you are constantly unsuccessful it may be that you find strange things happening in your life, it may be that a guide etc has made contact and will contact you by moving objects, leaving scents around your home (Angels tend to come with the smell of Jasmine or Rose) or some other occurrence.

Alternatively you may be contacted in a more specific way. You may hear speech from your guide, in which case try communicating back. You may be given thought pictures, you must then try to return pictures to them, or smells, or other unexpected noises or events may occur.

Finally

Whether you gain contact or not on the first occurrence, you need to keep trying, daily if possible, and keep a log of any events, conversations you have so as to analyse them later for a better understanding. Everybody starts with just a few messages and these can soon develop into clear two way conversations and even the crystal may not be needed eventually. At this point you may well channel whole tombs of information and many people, especially in America have turned these into best selling books (The Seth series and A Course in Miracles are good examples).
